Omnia Racing close to the podium at Mugello in Round 5

Quintieri secures two fourth places as Caramuscia finishes seventh, while Marchiante shows speed despite misfortune

Mugello, Italy – Omnia Racing returned to action for Round 5 of the 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge Suisse at the world-famous Mugello Circuit, fielding three drivers for only the second time this season. Regular drivers Ermanno Quintieri and Christian Caramuscia were joined by Mattia Marchiante, stepping in from the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia to strengthen the team’s line-up.

Strong Performances from Quintieri and Caramuscia

Quintieri delivered consistency across the weekend, finishing P4 in both Race 1 and Race 2, adding important points to his championship campaign. Caramuscia fought through a competitive field, securing P7 in Race 2 after a challenging start to the event.

Speaking after the races, Quintieri commented:
“It was a tough but positive weekend. Mugello is one of the most demanding tracks on the calendar, and I’m proud to have been in the fight for the top positions in both races. Two fourth places give me confidence to keep pushing for that first podium of the season.”

Caramuscia added:
“Every race in this championship is an opportunity to learn and improve. I felt stronger in Race 2, and P7 was a solid step forward. I know we have the pace to aim higher, and I’ll keep working on every detail with the team.”

Marchiante Shows Speed but Faces Setbacks

For Marchiante, the weekend was a story of potential overshadowed by misfortune. In Race 1, he crossed the line in P3, only to be disqualified in post-race checks due to a car being marginally underweight. In Race 2, while battling for victory in the closing stages, he was hit at the final corner and forced to retire.

Marchiante reflected on the bittersweet weekend:
“It’s frustrating because the speed was there to fight for the win. The disqualification in Race 1 was hard to accept, but we respect the regulations. In Race 2, I was giving everything for the win when the contact happened at the very last corner. Despite the results, I take away a lot of positives about our pace.”

Omnia Racing Looking Ahead

Omnia Racing continues to make progress in its debut GT season, building on its technical partnership with Prima Ghinzani Motorsport. With consistent results from Quintieri and Caramuscia and strong flashes of pace from Marchiante, the team remains confident heading into the next rounds.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge Suisse will resume later this fall, with Omnia Racing targeting its next milestone: a return to the podium.
