This weekend marked an important milestone for Mattia Marchiante and Bati Yildirim, as both drivers made their debut in the highly competitive Carrera Cup Italia at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. Facing a grid packed with experienced and seasoned competitors, the two rookies showcased determination and steady progress throughout the weekend.
The opening round of the season proved to be a true test, with both drivers adapting to the demands of the car and the intensity of the championship. While results were modest, their resilience and commitment were clearly on display.
In Race 2, Marchiante and Yildirim were able to engage in a close and clean battle with each other, pushing to the limit and climbing positions in the midfield. Both came close to breaking into the top 20, a promising sign of their potential as they gain experience in the series. “We knew this weekend would be challenging, especially debuting in such a high-level field,” said the Team Manager. “But Mattia and Bati showed exactly what we wanted to see: focus, improvement, and a fighting spirit. There’s a long season ahead, and this first race is an important step in their growth.”
